About
Founded in 1935, LuYuan Tea traces its roots to a tea-making family in Anxi, Fujian, who migrated to Taiwan and settled in Shiding. During the Japanese colonial period, founder Lin Chuan was invited by the village head of Dongshan, Yilan, to cultivate tea gardens and teach tea-making techniques, establishing the brand in Yilan. Now in its fourth generation, LuYuan insists on 100% natural Taiwanese tea, no artificial flavors or blending. They select teas based on climate, altitude, fermentation, and roasting, capturing the terroir of different regions. Their offerings include oolong, black, and green teas, known for clear amber liquor and honey-like aroma. In 2023, their "Taiwanese Tea Feast" gift box won the MOEA OTOP Product Design Award. The brand uses tea to document Taiwan's land and seasons, conveying the island's stories and warmth.
