Why Formoria Exists

For years abroad, I kept looking for the brands that made home feel close: familiar pantry staples, well-made daily goods, design objects, and small labels I trusted but could never quite explain to friends. So many independent brands already have the quality, the taste, the care — what they lack is a simple way to be found by the people already looking for them.

Portuguese sailors who sailed past Taiwan called it Ilha Formosa, the beautiful island. Formoria is the place that brings together the brands of this beautiful island worth treasuring.

On Formoria, MIT means a brand is founded, designed, produced, or deeply rooted in Taiwan. We look for real connection, considered quality, and a story worth helping more people discover.
