Data Collection
When you use Formoria, we may collect your email address and optional name when you recommend a brand, provide brand details, send feedback, or contact support, along with brand details, social and purchase links, ownership status, and source attribution. When you create an account, we collect your email and authentication details through Supabase Auth. If you choose to receive marketing email, we also record the consent category, source, version, and time. We collect browsing and product-usage events through PostHog and continue collecting Google Analytics data. Analytics events record the words you type into site search, so we can see what visitors are looking for and add the brands they cannot find; a search that looks like an email address or a phone number is not recorded at all. Analytics events exclude form values, names, email addresses, phone numbers, authentication codes, and tokens.
Purpose of Use
We collect personal data to build and maintain the Taiwan brand directory, provide discovery and search, improve brand information, prevent spam and abuse, improve the service, and send recommendation, claim, verification, security, and account-related notices. We send newsletters or owner lifecycle content such as operating reminders and feature guidance only after separate consent; you can turn off either marketing category independently. Declining marketing email does not affect brand recommendations, account creation, or core service access.
Third-Party Services
To provide our service, we use the following third-party providers: Supabase (database and authentication, servers in the US), Resend (email delivery, data may be processed in the US), PostHog and Google Analytics 4 (website analytics, data processed in the US), Sentry (error monitoring, data processed in the US), Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection), and Railway (web hosting, servers in the US). We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Data is shared only to the extent necessary to provide our services.
Your Rights
Under Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act, you have the right to: query or request access to your personal data, request a copy, request corrections or supplements, request cessation of collection, processing, or use, and request deletion. To exercise any of these rights, please contact [email protected]. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
Data Protection
We protect personal data with HTTPS, access controls, and regular security reviews. Brand data is retained while the brand is listed, account data while the account remains active, and marketing-consent records until you withdraw consent or request deletion. After an unsubscribe request, we may retain a minimal suppression record so we do not send marketing email you have declined.
Cookies and Tracking
This website uses PostHog and Google Analytics 4 to record page views and usage events. PostHog is delivered through our e.formoria.com analytics endpoint, does not retain IP addresses, and has session replay disabled. Cloudflare Turnstile uses session cookies for bot detection to protect forms from spam. We do not use advertising cookies.
Policy Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
