WEAVISM 織本主義 develops functional clothing through material experiments rooted in Tainan. Its workwear-based cuts appear in jackets, shirts, trousers, unisex streetwear, and the distinctive Milkfish Bag, which turns a local cultural reference into an oversized fashion item. After establishing the Weavism Garment Laboratory in 2020, the brand expanded its in-house research into fabrics and silhouettes. Fish scales are processed to extract collagen for its Peptide Tee, while Bouncy BNS™ Cotton uses a spring-like construction to create a different textile hand and structure. The design approach begins with the practical needs of travel: classic outlines are adjusted for movement and everyday use, while selected fabrics are treated with non-toxic natural dyeing techniques. WEAVISM positions these garments between urban dressing and outdoor equipment, using details to reduce the gear required on a journey.
