Mata Swim

Named after an Austronesian word associated with the eye and the sun, Mata Swim was founded in Kaohsiung in spring 2016. Its designs draw on sea breeze, sunlight, tropical plants, outdoor activity, and concern for Taiwan’s marine ecology. The brand’s signature is a Taiwan-made front-fastening swimsuit, developed with precise stitching and a construction intended to remain stable and securely covering during freediving. Its range includes one-piece swimsuits, bikinis, swim bottoms, lightly padded tops, ribbed cut-out styles, floral prints, ruched one-pieces, and the Wave Vest one-piece, whose three-dimensional cut provides structured coverage. Black, light blue, rust brown, and blue-black patterns form part of its visual palette.
