Based in Shanhua, Tainan, 宅日常 makes hand-cooked wood ear drinks and unfiltered whole-bean soy milk. Its black and white wood ears are Taiwan-certified organic fresh ingredients, delivered fresh rather than reconstituted from dried mushrooms, then slowly simmered by hand for a thick, smooth texture. The soy milk uses Canadian non-GMO soybeans, sprouted for 12 hours and ground as whole beans without filtering out the pulp. Founded around a couple’s idea of making drinks suitable for their family, the brand also works with small farmers and produces handmade companion items. Its process is described as additive-free, preservative-free, and entirely handmade.
