Kuan Yuan Lian was founded on March 20, 1986, in Puyan Township, Changhua County, with loofah vine sap as its defining ingredient. Run by the Shih family, the brand later reconsidered how its plant-based formulas could connect with everyday life under the second generation’s management. Its range draws on Taiwanese botanical materials including loofah sap, loofah seeds, aloe vera, cucumber, mung bean with coix seed, and okra. These ingredients appear in toners, lotions, moisturizers, serums, sheet masks, sunscreens, facial mists, cleansing and makeup-removing products, and exfoliators. Manufacturing is centered on mass-produced beauty and skincare products built around loofah water, with items such as an aloe vera after-sun cooling gel mist and a loofah cleansing mask gel.
