Italian vegetable-tanned cowhide forms the material foundation of VentureZac. After military service, founder Zac studied art in the United States and later worked in New York bag design, making handmade bags for American labels and learning traditional leather craftsmanship. He returned to Taiwan and founded VentureZac in 2016; its name combines “Venture” with the Taiwanese-sounding “Yuan Que,” or sparrow, reflecting an exploratory spirit. The range includes leather bags, long and short wallets, coin purses, key cases, ID holders, accessories, leather-care products, and custom work. Designs integrate clean lines into both the exterior and internal structure, with repeated testing aimed at slim, durable forms that remain relevant over time. The leather is made in Italy through an old vegetable-tanning process, retaining natural grain and developing whisky-like color changes with use. Each piece passes through dozens or even hundreds of detailed operations, some repeated several times.
