思謀研器 Studio Smoll

Studio Smoll began in Zhubei, Hsinchu County, in 2016, developing leather goods through a folding-based construction system. Its design, research, development, and manufacturing are integrated in Taiwan. Cowhide and vegetable-tanned leather form the main material palette, while a patented cut-out structure replaces stitching, adhesive, and separate tools: users fold and assemble each piece by hand. The range includes the Gua Bao eyewear case, PlayBloc folding cube bag, Envelope long and short wallets, envelope-style organizers, handbags, shoulder bags, and genuine leather backpacks. Introduced in 2021, the Envelope wallet extends the brand’s approach to slim storage and hands-on assembly. The name Studio Smoll refers to thinking, strategy, research, and the making of objects, placing the construction process within the everyday experience of using a leather accessory.
