鉐葉 SHIYE

Picking up fallen leaves provides the starting point for SHIYE’s metalwork. The brand records plants in stages of sprouting, flowering, and fading, translating their changing forms into wearable jewellery and display pieces. “Shi” echoes the Chinese word for stone and refers to brass, while “ye” means leaf, reflecting the idea of giving collected leaves a new metal form. Brass, sterling silver, recycled silver, and copper are used with techniques including wax carving. The botanical range features ginkgo, crape myrtle, tea leaves, bird’s-nest fern, hinoki, Ming aralia, and six-winged wood. Its design range includes bracelets, brooches, earrings, and necklaces. SHIYE also offers metalworking experiences and commissioned pieces through its studio in Banqiao, New Taipei City, and describes its work as designed and produced entirely in Taiwan.
