Oursglass began with two creators exploring glass as an amorphous material that can hold a drop of perfume while revealing light, colour, and movement. Lampworking is central to the studio’s practice: glass is shaped by hand in a high-temperature flame, with transparent and coloured elements layered to form fine textures and natural-life motifs. The studio also works with glassblowing, engraved cut-glass techniques, and glass inlay. Its range includes everyday vessels, jewellery, glass sculptures, and large installations, with forms spanning miniature perfume bottles, translucent teardrop pendants, and vividly coloured biological figures. Oursglass also creates memorial glass beads incorporating hair or cremated remains, involving the commissioner in the making process so personal memories become a lasting glass object.
