MORiii was founded in 2014 from a traditional woodworking factory in Dali, Taichung, with nearly four decades of furniture-making experience. When furniture production moved overseas, the factory remained in Taiwan, continuing contract manufacturing before developing MORiii as its own brand. The studio combines contemporary, pared-back forms with established woodworking methods, using North American hardwoods and Japanese cypress for bed frames, bedside tables, wardrobes, chests, dining tables, benches, sofas, coffee tables, desks, dressing tables, and wooden household objects. Its collections include Japanese Cypress, Field, MORiii Concept, and String. MORiii takes part in material selection, cutting, assembly, and finishing, preserving each wood’s grain and tactile warmth while using safety-certified coatings and local Taiwanese production.
