丸木作 Wanmuzuo

Wanmuzuo grew from a traditional woodworking factory founded by the owner’s father in Nantun, Taichung, where the family has worked locally for more than three decades. Founder Tu Geng-yuan learned fine woodworking as a child beside sawdust, sanding sounds, and spray guns, then established Wanmuzuo in 2020 to bring inherited techniques into everyday furniture. Its range includes TV cabinets, bedside tables, shoe cabinets, storage cabinets, bookcases, dressing tables, appliance cabinets, entryway cabinets, and drawer chests. Designs use solid-wood bodies, slatted doors, drawers, and curved lines. A custom solid-wood appliance cabinet combines New Zealand pine with Taiwanese King Slide soft-close runners and hinges, finished throughout with polyurethane paint. Tu personally handles material selection, woodworking, painting, assembly, and packing.
