Fresh Type Studio builds its work around the beauty of written language and contemporary language culture. It observes memes, puns, internet topics, and popular expressions, then turns everyday wording into distinctive visual pieces. Its products include colorful Chinese-character keychains, metal badges, stickers, fabric tote bags, and clothing printed with Chinese lettering. The studio has also designed a traditional ranking board for Gyoza Treasure Island and created a second logotype in collaboration with Dolphin Police. A Zhuyin symbol series extends the practice into collectible and wearable graphics, while the “Seed Character Supermarket” explores typefaces and text-based merchandise as a larger design concept.
