Hsiaoyu illustration was founded in late 2020 by a solo creator who handles every step from drawing, paper cutting, binding, packaging to shipping, hence the brand name 'Illustration Farmer' reflecting a self-produced and self-sold model. Starting with only 3 products, the lineup expanded to nearly 40 items by 2022, focusing on paper goods such as calendars, yearly planners, and postcards. Each year features a distinct theme, with corresponding illustrated products launched in the fourth quarter. Besides direct sales, the brand offers illustration licensing and custom illustration services. In 2023, the creator held a solo exhibition 'You've got mail from Itoshima' in Fukuoka, Japan, and participated in the Studio Kura artist residency on Itoshima Island.
