織療室 Ziliaoshi

Natural materials including rush, cotton-linen blends, wood-pulp fibre and bamboo cotton are combined through crochet and mixed-fibre techniques at Ziliaoshi. Founded in Tainan in 2020 by crochet artist Jessie Chen, the studio develops handwoven straw hats, phone bags, hair accessories, straps, textile jewellery and lighting objects around the idea of “weaving for healing.” Its sun hats include styles with extended hat ties or cords, while the jewellery line uses adjustable, wrappable structures threaded with beads and motifs resembling buds, leaves and butterfly wings. Each piece can take several months from material selection through weaving, and is handmade in Taiwan.
