Founder Chang Cheng-chien decided to develop his own vacuum cleaner after 20 years of unsatisfactory experiences with existing models, driven by his child's dust mite allergies. Established in 2011 in New Taipei City, Yates works with Taiwanese suppliers for design, mold making, testing, and assembly to ensure full local production. The flagship CV-X1 cordless vacuum weighs only 0.98 kg, uses a Taiwanese battery and Japanese motor, and features a patented airflow design that maintains suction power. Other models include the MD-880 and MD-880S, the latter equipped with a patented DC constant voltage circuit module that won awards at the iENA Nuremberg International Invention Fair and the Taiwan Innotech Expo. Yates focuses on lightweight, quiet operation, and long battery life, selling through its official website and partner stores across Taiwan.
