UNIGAZE 慢火金工創作室

Founded in 2022 by metal artist Wan-Chun Liao, UNIGAZE takes its name from the concentrated gaze held during welding, while “slow fire” refers to Liao’s strong attachment to the process. Based in Bade District, Taoyuan, the studio works across metal art, leather, jewelry, objects, handmade pieces, and commissions. Its metalwork keeps the material close to its raw state, using heating, welding, and hand fabrication to build distinctive surfaces and structures. Featured forms include small gold-toned leaf ornaments, fine-chain necklaces with elongated sculptural pendants, and welded circular-link jewelry. The studio also shares metalworking tools and jewelry-making techniques through classes.
