TUOBEIREN builds a character world through illustration, writing, music, and creative merchandise. Its stories follow a group of monsters who comfort one another over a long journey, including characters such as Fu Guai and Sang Xin Yan. The brand extends their relationships into original songs and the album Hug Practice; the track “Clumsily Loving You” portrays Fu Guai’s awkward yet gentle affection for Sang Xin Yan. The characters also appear as three-dimensional merchandise, including a yellow figure in dark-blue denim overalls, a bright-red plush figure, and a blue teardrop-shaped plush figure with black cord arms. Simple drawings and text establish the narrative, while music adds emotional detail to the characters’ interactions.
