里恩太太 SEVERUS LIAN

Illustrator Severus Lian (known as 里恩太太) creates a whimsical, comforting world through digital art blended with hand-drawn textures and playful linework. Her award-winning portfolio includes shortlisting for WIA 2020, a Highly Commended recognition from Macmillan 2021, and the Batsford Prize 2019. In 2024, she launched 'The Big Tree: Village of Elf,' a personal project featuring elves born from a magical tree trunk, each embodying a specific wish—such as a dog-walking elf for busy mornings, a bread-warming elf for breakfast-skippers, and a cat-petting elf for lonely felines. Through these gentle narratives, Lian explores themes of purpose and belonging. Her illustrated books and merchandise are available at independent bookstores like Rong Ben House, and she collaborates with music education and family-oriented events.
