Discarded golden clam shells from Hualien’s Lichuan Aquafarm are high-temperature calcined into EcoCal® Shell Calcium, the natural antimicrobial ingredient used across picupi’s household cleaning range. The company has promoted sustainable fashion and green living since 2017, launching its first Shell Calcium Circular Laundry Detergent in 2022. Its products include a portable stain-removal emergency bottle, heavy-duty laundry stain remover, travel cleaning set, waterless dishwashing cleaner, and fruit and vegetable wash. The formulas are presented without formaldehyde, fluorescent agents, preservatives, or bleach. A cradle-to-cradle approach also extends to packaging: discarded FamilyMart Let’s Café milk bottles are recycled into detergent containers. The name picupi comes from “pick your pick,” reflecting its curated approach to sustainable living.
