PHOELIA JEWELRY is a contemporary jewelry line founded in the summer of 2018 by designer Shih Yin Lee in Taipei, Taiwan. The brand name combines the ancient Greek word '-philia' (meaning love and friendship) with the designer's name, Phoebe. Inspired by nature, literature, art, and travel stories, the collections range from modern minimalist to elegant vintage styles, crafted for independent contemporary women as wearable art. Each piece is handmade using wax carving and metal smithing techniques, with pure hand-soldering, and incorporates mixed media such as pearls and gemstones, resulting in distinctive designs that balance wildness and elegance. Operating as a one-person studio with a made-to-order approach, PHOELIA sells primarily through Instagram and its official website. The designer, who grew up around metalwork but has no ear piercings, creates pieces that showcase a deep understanding of metal artistry and innovative interpretations.
