PHOELIA JEWELRY

Wax carving, metalwork, and entirely hand-soldered construction define PHOELIA JEWELRY, an independent jewelry studio based in Taipei. Founded by designer Shih Yin Lee in the summer of 2018, the name combines the Greek word “philia,” associated with affection and friendship, with Phoebe, the designer’s name. The collections draw on nature, literature, art, and stories gathered through travel, moving between contemporary minimalism and refined vintage references. Rings, necklaces, and other everyday pieces combine metal with pearls and gemstones. Shown designs include a pale green gemstone ring, a round pendant necklace, a butterfly necklace, a cherry-shaped ring, and an angel pendant marked by blue-black patterning. Lee’s early exposure to metalwork informs the studio’s approach to wearable art.
