這一窯 Huiaio studio

Named after the Taiwanese pronunciation “huî-á-iô,” referring to a kiln used for firing ceramics, Huiaio studio builds its practice around the transformation of water, earth, and minerals. Led by Chen Pin-hsun, the studio was established in Tainan in 2022. Handmade shaping and kiln firing produce cups, bowls, plates, vases, and other objects for daily use. Its pieces include white-fen-yin two-tone plates, irregular ceramic dishes, wave-edged vases, and vessels with rough textures and handles. Some surfaces carry jellyfish, floral, or botanical drawings, while natural tones and uneven outlines connect the objects with local visual language. The studio also explores the reuse of marine waste such as oyster shells in sustainable ceramic design, alongside gift customization projects and hands-on aesthetic craft classes.
