Hibāng 友漁循環眼鏡

Named after both fishing nets and the Taiwanese pronunciation of “hope,” Hibāng turns discarded Taiwanese fishing nets into eyewear through cleaning, sorting, cutting, melting and remanufacturing. Its frames, temples and nose pads use a single recycled nylon material, joined by screwless snap-fit and modular construction so parts can be removed without tools, repaired or replaced. The Mountain Circular Eyewear line includes the liû-khiû classic round frame, weighing about 15 grams and combining an off-round silhouette with raised, broad nose pads designed for Taiwanese facial features. The recycled frame is resilient against pressure, while used glasses can be returned for remanufacture into new products.
