Hibāng 友漁循環眼鏡

Hibāng takes its name from the Taiwanese words for fishing net and hope. The brand turns discarded fishing nets collected in Taiwan into eyewear through washing, sorting, cutting, melting, and remanufacturing. A single recycled nylon material is used for the frame, temples, and nose pads, while a screw-free, modular construction lets users take the glasses apart and reassemble them without tools. Individual components can be repaired or replaced instead of discarding the whole pair. The Mountain Series draws on Taiwan’s landscapes; its liû-khiû classic round frame uses irregular circular lines, a raised wide nose pad, and a long cantilever nose-pad structure designed around Taiwanese facial features. The recycled frame is resilient under pressure, and returned, unwanted glasses can be processed into new eyewear so the material continues circulating between products.
