布物設計 BUWU

Founded by sisters Chen Chien-Yu and Chen Yi-Hsi in late 2012, BUWU is based in Taipei’s Dadaocheng district, where traditional fabric markets and everyday observations inform its textile work. The sisters translate these impressions into colour, pattern, and dozens of original textile motifs. Built around the principles “Colorful, functional, original,” BUWU makes the motif a prominent visual element of each piece, then applies it to square bags, knitted round bags, tote bags, backpacks, shoulder bags, handbags, drawstring bottle bags, embroidered luggage tags, and patterned socks. The range also includes clothing, vessels, home accessories, and outdoor items. Its idea of “taking from life and using it in life” places original fabric design within objects that can be carried, worn, and used every day.
