Founded in 1989, Sheng Sheng Man Hand-Dyed Clothing builds its garments around traditional Chinese frog-button work. Flower-shaped buttons carry auspicious symbolism, while straight bar buttons give each piece a clean fastening detail and defined outline. The label began as Daxia Studio and later passed through stages associated with Xuanmen Art Center and Kaixin Farm while continuing to develop hand-dyed clothing. Taiwanese women artisans handle the fabric, cutting, and dyeing by hand. Natural materials include cotton, hemp, linen, and wool. European reactive dyes are adjusted through repeated dyeing rather than a rapid large-batch process, creating layered tonal variation and subdued colour on the cloth. Its clothing includes pure-linen three-quarter-sleeve tops, folk-style long skirts, Hanfu-influenced tops, button-front jackets, floral tops, and longline tops, placing Eastern cultural motifs within contemporary silhouettes.
